April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

Paul Hamby AKA as Fragman said if people want Frags in Tri-Cities Area let him know.    He has been supplying Reef Stores in Seattle Area for Years.
Its premium stuff.    You can check out Reef Frontiers in Livestock forum for his coral pictures.  You want to look up Fragman Frag Packs.   Pictures do not do  Corals Justice.    You can ask Wayne, Nate or Colleen.

So let me know if you need anything by Saturday am.    Smiley

Here is link to Reef Frontiers Thread for pictures and prices of his stuff.

Stuff we got from him last weekend is looking awesome.  People should jump on a chance to get some stuff from him without having to pay shipping.   Shocked

Ed, what time are we going to start on Sunday?

 Nate,
I will be chomping at the bit Sunday.   Paul says he will be here around 9am.    I may tear into Tank on Saturday nite.

I have a 300 gallon tub where I plan on recyling as much water as possible.   I have lots of Rock.  One piece about 3 foot long to add to my tank.    I need to put muratic Acid inside tank and rinse it, Buff it,   Then plumb in new Pump.

I just get nervous thinking about it.   You should see Paul Aquascape though.   I have helped Paul move a couple times.
He does it so easy it makes your head spin.   He never loses a animal by using same water back into tank as much as possible.
He uses a media reactor , skimmer and heaters, powerheads.
I hope I can do as good as he does.   Smiley

The New 300 gallon Tub should help quite a bit!! Smiley

I'm sure things will go fine Ed.  Many hands will make things run smoothly.

I have not done anything to my Tank for a long time.    The coraline algae, and Briopsis took over.     I am tearing it down and  Cleaning stuff up.   Puting Miratic acid to watch off coraline off sides of tank, possibly buffing it, putting it all back together.

Ron B sold me a rock about 3 ft long.   So it should look pretty cool when it is done.

If you want some awesome frags.   Paul (Fragman) said to let him know.   He will bring them down Sunday Morning when he visits.

Again look for pricing and pix on posted thread link to Reef Frontiers above.

Ron said he was interested in some Frags.

Hamby's list is amazing but I must admit I'm a little overwhelmed on what I would not kill being a noob to coral.  So that said does anyone have a suggestion of what I should be looking for as my first coral?  I do have 150 W MH lighting on the Aquapod so have plenty of light.  Oh, and thanks to Ed for sharing this with me.  I need to remember about Reef Frontiers more often.

Later,

Ron,

Try some stylophora and some birdsnest.  Both will give you some color and should be easy enough to get you in the swing of things.   Cheesy

Paul can see your emails.   He does not have a account here.   So Pm him on Reef Frontiers or email him @ Paulhamby@comcast.net or you can call him @ 206-669-0440.
Paul is coming up Sunday Am.    He will probably be here 10am at my house.
6915 W. 2nd Ave, Kennewick.
Phone #374-0815

Paul is on the go so email him or call him.

Pocilliapora you can not kill, capricornius is hard to kill,

I would not invest in a lot of SPS.   Maybe a cali tort and see how it does.

Paul has some red recordia that is pretty cool.

Its hard to say no to any of his list.   If your parameters are good but always play it safe.

The corals that I really like of Pauls are his Deep water acros, grandulosa, purple Milli,

Again if your parameters are good.   Its well worth it.
He has premo stuff.   Frags are generous.   He even has Purple people eaters.

Appoligies to those that tried to look at Paul Hambys corals on link posted earlier.  It was construded at a commercial post by Reef Frontiers.   Paul is a hobbyist that has been around for quite a while.   Paul trades corals with LFS in Seattle Area.    His corals are guaranteed Pest free.   I will have to look up my pictures and see if I can post them on here from my new camera.
