April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

Hi All,
Well, Ive met some of you at the meetings this year, but for the others that I havent met, let me introduce myself and what I am up to.
We have had FW tanks for a number of years now, and I've decided to get re-introduced to SW.  I have set up a 10gl nano reef.  It has been running since the first of December.  I have been taking it really slow in adding anything to it, I have probally 12lbs of LR and a few inverts, 1 goby, 1 green chromie, 1 red scarlet hermet, 7 snails, one peperment shrimp (added today)  I am looking for soft corals, zoas, mushrooms, etc.  Frags, anything smallish and good for a beginner.  I am hopeing to get some color in the tank..I am willing to pay.  I have been checking out the lfs's and there just doesnt seem to be much to choose from.  Oh, the lighting is 45 watts of standard florscent.  (no sps) from what I understand.

Thank you Nate and Colleen for the 2 frags, I really appreciate it.

I am going to attempt to attach some pics

Good job on on the photos -- it looks nice!

I'm sure when we move the tank in a few months well have some zoos and mushrooms available.  We'll have to give you a branch of the torch coral to try too - I meant to have Nate give you one the other evening but forgot to remind him before I left the house.  I can probably bring one to the next meeting.
