January Meeting 1/14/12 @ 6PM! - OFFICER ELECTIONS!

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.
NOMINATIONS:
President:  Jim & Nacho
V. President: Ed, Bo & Daniel Leigey
Treasurer: Stacey
Secretary: Carmen & Angie

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Please PM Nate C. by clicking here for directions if you are not a club member.

Club members can click here to go to the club member only forum to get directions.

Hope to see you all there!

One more and lets vote on picture of the month at the end of each month.  Recognition is priceless.

Let's post 2 pics per person per month, so take your best shot.

That must be the scientific name you're using...I'm not familiar with those quite yet.  I call them cardinals and they are a mated pair.  They have already had a couple batches of babies but we haven't been successful in saving them.

Those are very clear and nice pics.  Thanks for sharing.  Maybe we can get more in February.  I know there are so many of us that enjoy taking pics and posting them. Smiley

Nice pics, Rick
Let's start one for February and see what kind of participation we get.  I will take some close ups but I don't think they will come out as sharp as yours.   Great resolution and I'm jealous.

Thanks for sharing.

Wow!  I want a new lens!   Oh, that's right, all my $$ is being poured into a reef tank at the moment.  *sigh*

You guys have some really nice shots -- those pics of the seahorses are amazing Rick, I never realized how prehistoric they looked until I saw an up close shot.  That straight on shot is kind of freaky -- sure glad they're small, seahorses would be very scary if they were huge!   Shocked

Where are the pics?  I really like the sea horse myself but let's get some more participation.

See you all this weekend.

Here's a couple overview shots of our tank from a month or two ago, before we lost all but 2 of our clams to a parasite or something else strange that started after buying a couple new ones online that never looked right...  This is exactly why we are buying a small 29 gallon system as a QT set-up for the new house.   Sad
