Mid-Columbia Saltwater Aquarium Club

April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

Has the club ever done a group order with Foster & Smith?  I notice that they give a 10% discount for club order greater than $500.

We have done group orders with them before.  I don't believe we hit the $500 discount point before.  They are great to deal with as they have a 14 day guarantee and reship right away.  The animals are most always in very good health.

I think the last order we did with them was last Feb or so.

If we order I could use about $40 of products from FS.

I'm planning to make an order from Foster & Smith as soon as they have Flatworm Exit back in stock. Let me know if you want me to add anything to my order. I hope this will go out soon - website says they're expecting the Flatworm Exit to be in stock today, but it's still listed as out of stock.

Can "Drs. Foster and Smith" (dry goods) and their "Live Aquaria" (livestock) division be combined to hit the $500 mark for the discount?  I'm sure there would be separate shipping charges.  (There's a coral frag out there that I've had my eye on, but haven't wanted to pay the flat fee shipping charge all by my lonesome.)

I will certainly cast my vote for the quality of their fish and corals.  We've placed many orders with them to purchase both fish and coral frags, and their livestock and corals have always been top notch quality.  Beautiful corals, and good value for the quality and size of their corals.

I don't know about the combined $500, but I suspect they are run as separate entities.

I see that the Flatworm Exit is in stock now. I'll plan on placing my order Friday evening. Let me know if you want something included.

I am relatively new tot he area, definitely new to reefing (as in, I'm aging a small amount of live rock now and won't be setting up until after tax season)... but I keep a lot of freshwater.  If you end up ordering frozen food... I'm in need of cyclopeeze.

Also, where is the upcoming meeting?

Welcome to the area, and to the wonders that salt in the water can bring!  Meeting will be next weekend in Richland.  Contact Sirfisher via PM for directions to the meeting.  Nacho is our club President this year, so he's the one that doles out that info.  Look forward to meeting you this coming Saturday evening.
