I found some rocks that I would like to put in my mini-reef, but they had some lichen growing on them. I used a brush and I got almost all of it off, but is it safe to put in my aquarium?

by lichen...you mean "rocks" as in from the woods?  If so, no, you only want to put live rock (dead coral skeletons) in your tank.
