DINKY DUNCANS...

Beau is hosting the January Meeting this coming Saturday the 14th at 6PM.  It will be BYOB as well as a snack to share and raffle items are always welcome.  It has been requested that there be “NO SHOES” on the carpet due to it being a whitish color.

He doesn’t have a tank to view but we will have plenty to discuss in hopes that it will get the NEW YEAR off to a good start.  The annual membership fees are due, so now would be a good time to get them in to our Treasurer Stacey Hahn.   Fees are $20 per individual or $25 per family

Attendance was low at the election meeting in November and no votes were taken at December’s meeting so we have decided to take votes for anyone that didn’t get the opportunity in November and will be attending this meeting.  
We will add the votes to November’s ballots and the announcement will be made during the meeting so we can go forward.

Let’s hope the New Year brings new members, returning members and new ideas.  The club is always willing to take suggestions to get the most out of the hobby we all enjoy.

Just wanted to share a photo of the Duncan we got a couple weeks ago from Ed.  (Formal name is Giant Green Polyp Duncan [Duncanopsammia axifuga]). 

Attached photo is a side view, the polyp looks like a shaggy daisy from the front/top.

We came back from being gone 5 days over Christmas to find some new dinky duncan sprouts on the side of the main head.  Looks like there may be one or two on the back side too, but can't see that side very well.   We hand feed frozen food and it eats until its 'belly' (or is it his face?) is all pudgy -- in short, it eats like a piggy just like the rest of our tank inhabitants.

     Those starts were going for anywhere from $40-$90 a head in Seattle.   They are hard to get.    You may want to do some trading with someone.    That is a Aussie Duncan also.   The harder of two to get.

Wow, guess I better think about trading too, just as soon as I get a start back to you.   

Maybe we can work out a deal and you could caravan over with us to the West side for the January PSAS meeting, I think it's the 19th.  We're hoping to get a look at Eric's new shop and stop and stop by to see my folks while we're over there as well.
