April meeting 4/14 @ 7PM - Grant's house

Laura and Jim will be hosting the May meeting this Saturday the 12th and it will be the usual of food, drinks, raffle and fun.

Doors will be open at 6:00 pm for social talk and the meeting will start at 7:00.  Parking gets a little tight and the city says you can't park on 4th but there is a parking lot a block away.   Meeting is usually held in the backyard so feel free to bring your favorite lawn chair, weather permitting of course.

If you need address/directions, contact a club member.

Best if you park at Mini Mall (where the spaghetti establishment use to be)

You will get to see his new frag tank set up in the making.

Hope to see you there!

This weekend we pack pack pack.  Next weekend (11th-12th) we'll be moving everything but the tank and the esentials (so we can stay with the tank).  The weekend of the 18th, we will be moving the tank and the rest of the stuff.  Anyone that is willing to help haul boxes and such would be welcome and appeciated around 10 AM on the 11th.  Also around 10 AM on the 18th, we'd be extremely greatful to have lots of extra sets of hands to make the fish tank move go smoothly (and as quickly as possible), I'll have to re-do the plumbing on the chiller (not to mention get it hauled out from under the house) in addition to actually moving the tank and such.

Anyone around that would be willing to help out?   Huh

Just wanted to say thank you to PSA, Zul and Phil!  These guys have already told me they'll be there for me this coming Saturday for the tank move.  This club is awesome, nice to have support from others when it comes to moving a tank!  We'll be moving the livestock Friday afternoon/evening from the 155 back into the 75, which is being set up at the townhouse for temporary housing.  Saturday the 155 will move over (should only take us a couple hours if anyone else wants to join in the "fun"), and I will re-plumb things on it and get water going back into it to move everyone back into their home for the next 8 months or so.  Any and all help would be appreciated, if anyone can make it Friday, that'd be awesome too!

Talked with Phil, the trailer won't be available until about noon, so we will be moving the tank on Saturday around 1 PM.  However, we'll be moving the livestock (probably the harder part) in the the 75 FRIDAY (8/17), and we haven't heard from anyone that they'd be willing to help us with this part.    Cry  Anybody?  Anybody at all?  We'll be starting on taking the tank down around 1 or so tomorrow afternoon.  Any hands that want to help will make life easier.  call me 366-3450 if you can help.

Friday night is a bad time for many people-myself included.

If you're really stuck, I might be available from 6pm-7:30pm to help.

Sounds like you're not looking for help on Saturday morning after all, then.  I can help on Saturday until about 3pm.

Nate,
I wish I could help, but I think my family would kill me if I took them away from this beautiful Oregon coast and beach house we are vacationing at.  I will call when I get home to see if there is anything I can do to help.

Well, now that things are going OK, I figured it was time for an update.  Colleen and I managed to get everything moved Friday to the 75 gallon (155 gallons of stuff in 75 gallons of tank = CROWDED!)  I managed to get 2 maxijet mods made, and they are providing flow...and lots of it.  One of them started up backward (today - Sunday) and apparently I didn't get things quite right for the safety stop, and it ended up sucking our orange tube anemone in and gave it a hair cut.  It seems to be OK, lucky for us, Colleen was right there and was already reaching in to grab it when it got sucked in.

Saturday Paul (psa), Phil and Zul, along with a friend of mine from work and his son came over and helped move the 155.  I've already re-done the plumbing for the chiller, and we are making water for it right now.  That also means I have the RO/DI installed and running so I'm set for auto-top-off when we get the 155 back up and running (sometime this week, will let it go a few days then add a couple chromis to ensure things are good before we move everything back out of the 75.  Today, we got the skimmer back up to full working order, one pump had been down for a while.  I took the downtime to clean up both pumps and get things running in top form.  Can't wait to start work on getting the place put back together, then start working on the new house!

Thanks again to everyone that helped us out!
